Af: Die wind het sag oor Tafelberg gewaai, en klein wolkies het om die pieke gedraai.
En: The wind blew softly over Tafelberg, and small clouds swirled around the peaks.
Af: Dit was Jeugdag, en die lug was helder, al was dit koel.
En: It was Jeugdag, and the sky was clear, even though it was cool.
Af: Elsa het die piekniekkomberse reggesprei op die klam gras, omring deur die fynbos wat helder van kleur was in die winterson.
En: Elsa spread the picnic blankets on the damp grass, surrounded by the fynbos that was bright in color under the winter sun.
