Putin billboard stunt damages car in Sydney
Published 2 weeks ago
Description
A pro-Russian demonstration featuring mobile billboards displaying Vladimir Putin's image touring Sydney streets, including Bondi and the Opera House area, resulted in property damage when one truck struck a tree branch, bringing it down onto a resident's Mercedes. The convoy, organised by the so-called Aussie Cossack who is under asylum in the Russian Consulate, was escorted by at least six police vehicles and drew criticism from Ukrainian community leaders and local residents already frustrated by years of incidents outside the consulate since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
