Published 2 weeks ago
Description
An 85-year-old driver accidentally plunged his car into a neighbour's swimming pool in Grays Point, Sutherland Shire, after hitting the accelerator instead of the brake while attempting to park. Homeowner Richard Fricker rescued both the driver and his 80-year-old passenger, Svetlana Feldman, from the sinking vehicle in the seven-foot deep end of the pool. The uninsured driver now faces a repair bill exceeding $30,000 for damage to the fence, cabana and pool.
