For years as a college instructor, I had no idea the amount of stress that new writer's were experiencing. I was around up to 50 writers in one room, all stressed to the max about their upcoming writing assignment.
At the time, I taught students about time management and how to deal with fear so they could put their procrastination to bed.
But honestly, it was never enough. Giving students tips and tricks never made the bogeyman go away for good. The next assignment would appear, and they were face-to-face with a worse monster who seemed to have doubled in size since the last homework assignment.
Let's not forget life situations that show up unannounced - such as injury, or break ups, and other losses. So it came time to take a deep dive into understanding the mind, where stress really comes from, and how to shift toward peace.
Last week we looked at the fight or flight signals of stress. Now, we'll get into Part 2 so you can get some relief from stress today!
