This week on Adventures of Des and Cort, the Hot Flashes are hot flashing and the self-awareness is... questionable. 😅

Des's Hot Flash is aimed directly at her mom's dog, Sadie. This little queen eats food off a napkin, sleeps in the bed, requires lap privileges in the car, and generally operates like she's a celebrity with contractual demands. It got us thinking... when it's your own kid or dog, their quirks are adorable. When it's someone else's, you're wondering who approved this behavior. 👑🐶

Cort's Hot Flash is for the people who absolutely must share their opinion while you're trying to do something. You know the type. Instead of helping, they stand there narrating what you're doing wrong. Cort realizes she may have been guilty of this herself and is making a public commitment to simply help next time.

We also talk about the new Hulu show Alice and Steve, which has us hooked. A lifelong friendship takes a turn when Steve starts dating Alice's daughter. It's awkward. It's messy. It's fascinating. Add it to your watch list immediately. 📺

Then we discuss one of the great marriage debates of our time. Josh thinks Cort is completely insane for washing dishes in cold water. Cort insists she's just planning ahead because she's saving the hot water for a long shower afterward. Strategic thinking or questionable life choice? The jury is still out.

And then we revisit a golf story that still makes us laugh. During a scramble last year, a left-handed golfer had just putted. Des stepped up, took a left-handed stance, looked down at the putter and genuinely wondered why it appeared to be facing the wrong direction. After several moments of confusion, she remembered one very important detail... she's right-handed. 🤦‍♀️⛳
