Sugary drinks linked to liver cancer risk

Research by the National Cancer Centre involving 1.5 million adults has found that consuming even one sugar-sweetened drink per day is linked to an increased risk of two types of liver cancer. The study identified regular consumption of sugary drinks as a risk factor for liver cancers. Drinks containing artificial sweeteners were not associated with an increased cancer risk.
