Two Albany Creek State High School riders, Liam McAuliffe and Alex McCabe—both just in year seven—are officially on the Australian BMX Racing Team and heading to the UCI BMX World Championships in Brisbane, right on home turf. Liam, ranked sixth in Queensland for 11-year-old boys, is competing in the 12-year-old 20-inch category after racing since age four. Alex, ranked fourth in Queensland for 12-year-old boys and third in Cruiser, will race in the 13-year-old 20-inch division against global talent.
