Fire has a way of revealing what’s really there—what’s fragile, what’s strong, and what’s ready to be refined. Parenthood has felt a lot like that for me, a slow burn of challenges that somehow shapes you into someone braver and more capable than you expected. As we look at the Holy Spirit through the image of fire, we’re reminded that God’s presence doesn’t consume us but transforms us, refining our faith in ways we often only understand in hindsight.
