The time is now 11:01 PM in New York, I'm Noa Levi and this is the latest Israel Today: Ongoing War Report.

In Direct Israel-Iran Clashes, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir warned that Iran's attempts to "dictate equations and change reality" will fail, stressing that the Israel Defense Forces remain on high alert and prepared to resume operations against Iran if necessary. Speaking during a military drill, Zamir said Israel's recent strikes in Iran were “preparation for a much more significant and severe blow," adding that the IDF is ready to deliver “another hard and deep strike" while continuing to degrade Hezbollah and defend northern Israeli communities.

In Iranian Retaliation, Iran launched at least six ballistic missiles from Khomein in the Markazi Province toward an unknown location. The IRGC also claimed air defenses downed a US Air Force MQ-9 Reaper over Jam County in the Bushehr Province, amid the ongoing exchange of strikes between Iran and the United States.

In US Military Role, US officials say negotiations with Tehran remain unimpeded by the strikes, which CENTCOM described as a proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression following the downing of a US Army Apache helicopter. President Trump said the United States should reach a "very good" deal, telling ABC News' Jonathan Karl that the deal could still be very good and that "this is a response to what they did with our helicopter last night, and I believe the response should be very strong, very powerful, and that's what this one is." A senior US official told Fox News that the situation remains active and the US military is ready to respond if Iran decides to retaliate. CENTCOM says self-defense strikes against Iran have been completed, part of tonight's retaliatory strikes by fighter and strike aircraft with the US Air Force and Navy targeting Iranian air defense systems, ground control stations, and surveillance radar sites across Southern Iran, including around the Strait of Hormuz, in response to yesterday’s downing of a US Army AH-64E Apache over the Strait of Hormuz.

In Regional Impacts, Gaza talks hosted by Egypt stall as Hamas disarmament remains the only point of contention, with Palestinian sources saying talks continue in a context of clearly differing visions and that the weapons question remains central, while the ball is said to be in Israel and mediators' court regarding any disarmament linked to Israeli withdrawal. Interceptions were seen moments ago over Bahrain.

In Israeli Domestic Politics, former US President Donald Trump questioned whether Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will run in the upcoming Knesset elections, saying "Does he want to continue? Because, you know, he's a wartime prime minister," and adding, "We will very shortly win the war." Trump also described a recent conversation with Netanyahu and advised him to be careful not to strike Iran in retaliation for the Iranian missile attack on Israel, saying Netanyahu did not reveal his final decision. Separately, Israeli security authorities reported three people arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in southern Israel, including a Border Police officer in his 20s and two of his family members who are both IDF personnel; the officer had been absent from duty for about a year, and the others include a reserve IDF colonel and a young soldier—with detention extended as the investigation continues. A senior IDF officer warned that a High Court push to integrate women into combat units could carry a high cost, noting that a few female combat soldiers each year might be outweighed by the loss of many dozens of male combat soldiers in every draft cycle if hesder yeshiva students are kept from tanks.
