The Royal Flying Doctor Service has welcomed the first of eight new Pilatus PC-12 Pro aircraft to its Western Australian fleet, with full delivery expected by 2030. The new plane can reach speeds of over 530 kilometres per hour and fly up to 3,200 kilometres on a single tank, covering the distance from Perth to Kununurra. The aircraft features a digital touchscreen cockpit and enhanced weather radar, funded by the Reinhardt Medical Foundation and Hancock Iron Ore.
