Published 4 months, 3 weeks ago
Description
I'm fangirlin' this week as I sit down with investigative journalist Richard Baker, the man behind some of Australia's most gripping podcasts: Phoebe's Fall, The Last Voyage of the Pong Su, Wrong Skin (I've listened to all of them) & more!
It's a BIG chat but bloody worth it. We talk:
- Richard's journey into journalism; starting out at The Age alongside Nick McKenzie
- The police commissioner who tapped the phone of his own second-in-command
- French spies on Norfolk Island
- Breaking stories during the Essendon supplements saga
- Should James Hird get a second chance?
- The making of The Last Voyage of the Pong Su, Wrong Skin, Behind the White Line
- His new pod Conspiracy Cabal and why conspiracy theories fascinate us
- Where to next for Richard?
