In other news, after a bruising week for downtown Dallas, Mayor Eric Johnson says the city cannot afford to cling to a half-century-old City Hall as he stepped up his push to free the site for redevelopment; White Rock Lake's boathouse has become the center of a growing dispute between residents who say the city has failed to enforce accountability and nonprofit leaders who are suing the city of Dallas; and the Texas electric grid could experience a new all-time peak demand this summer thanks to a combination of hotter temperatures and growing number of large electricity users, like data centers.
