[EN_TITLE]Harishchandra, Sagara & the Path to Ganga – Navama Skandha Part 6[/EN_TITLE] [EN_DESC]This discourse covers the story of Harishchandra, the truth-devoted son of Trishanku, including his vow to Varuna and the Purushamedha sacrifice involving Shunashepa. It then narrates the birth of Sagara, born with poison, and his transformation of various tribal peoples. The tale of Sagara's 60,000 sons being reduced to ashes by Kapila Maharshi's divine radiance is explained, emphasizing that it was their own transgression—not Kapila's anger—that destroyed them. Angshumanta's journey to the netherworld, his prayer to Kapila, and the retrieval of the sacrificial horse conclude the Sagara episode. The discourse ends with a preview of the upcoming Ganga Avatarana narrative.[/EN_DESC]
