The Rays lose the middle game of the series to the Marlins 4-3. No team was able to put up runs for the first 4 innings as Rays starter Shane McClanahan was in a grove to start. He finally had a slip up when he allowed a solo homer in the 5th inning to make it 1-0. That is when things started to slip for the Rays The Marlins would add another run in  the 5th then 2 more in the 6th to make it 4-0. The Rays had a great chance in the 5th inning to cut into the lead but they came up short. They would get on the board in the 8th inning on a Yandy Diaz RBI double to make it 4-1. After that double the Rays would have runners on 2nd and 3rd with no one out and the Rays could not capitalize. The Rays would come 1 run short in the 9th. After a RBI single by Yandy Diaz and Ben Williamson scoring on a passed ball the Rays would make it 4-3. The Rays would have bases loaded in the top of the 9th with 2 outs after it became 4-3 and could not come through.  The Rays will look to take the series win tomorrow afternoon.
