Industry-wide, 80% of Web3 wallet users are gone within a week — and onboarding isn't the problem. The wallets that scaled in 2025 (Phantom 17M MAUs, MetaMask 30M) made themselves financially load-bearing: deep DeFi integrations, revenue tied to user activity, and security as a retention tool. If your monetization model and retention model aren't pointing at the same user behavior, you have a structural problem.
