Summer is a busy season for home repairs and outdoor projects, making it a prime time for scammers to target homeowners. Common schemes include home warranty scams and door-to-door contractors claim to spot storm damage and pressure homeowners into signing contracts or paying deposits immediately. Home improvement, driveway paving, tree removal, landscaping,and many other scams often involve collecting large upfront payments and then failing to complete the promised work. In this episode I discuss some of those scams  to alert homeowners.
