A fatal shooting in Pelican Narrows this week left one woman dead and another person seriously injured. It comes as leaders and the RCMP raise concerns about escalating violence in the north, with violent crime in the Pelican Narrows area up 49 per cent over the past decade and renewed calls for additional support and resources.
