Story Transcript:
Cy: Ym mrigian perffaith y gwanwyn hwyr, roedd heddlu Caerdydd yn brysur.
En: In the perfect late spring, heddlu Caerdydd (Cardiff police) were busy.
Cy: Roedd yr orsaf heddlu'n llawn pobl, lleisiau a phapurau yn symud yn sydyn.
En: The police station was full of people, voices, and papers moving quickly.
Cy: Dros y ddesg, gyda llyfrau nodiadau a thelefonnau'n cyflymu, safodd Gareth.
En: Over the desk, with notebooks and phones speeding up, Gareth stood.
Cy: Roedd ei wyneb yn dawel ond mewnol roedd pryder yn ei daflu i mewn.
En: His face was calm but internally anxiety was throwing him inside.
Cy: Roedd ei basbort, allwedd ei gynhadledd bwysig yn Nulyn, ar goll.
En: His passport, the key to his important conference in Nulyn (Dublin), was missing.
Cy: "Mae llawer yn dibynnu ar hyn," meddai Gareth yn daer wrth Sioned, swyddog ar ddyletswydd.
En: "A lot depends on this," Gareth said earnestly to Sioned, the duty officer.
Cy: Gwnaeth ei orau i esbonio'r sefyllfa.
En: He did his best to explain the situation.
Cy: "Bydd fy hediad prynhawn yfory, ac nid oes gennyf nawr fy mhrawf teithio hanfodol."
En: "My flight is tomorrow afternoon, and now I don't have my essential travel proof."
Cy: Safodd Sioned yn ddiffuant, gyda llyfr nodiadau yn llaw.
En: Sioned stood sincerely, with a notebook in hand.
Cy: "Byddwn yn cofnodi'r adroddiad yma, Gareth. Gwnewch yn siŵr ein bod wedi cynnwys pob manylyn."
En: "We will record the report here, Gareth. Make sure we've included every detail."
Cy: Roedd Gareth yn anniddig ac yn poeni.
En: Gareth was restless and worried.
Cy: Roedd y cloc yn tic-tac llawer rhy gyflym, ac er yr amser yma yn yr orsaf, nid oedd amser iddo stopio.
En: The clock was ticking far too quickly, and despite the time here at the station, there was no time for him to stop.
Cy: Roedd dryswch yn iechydol pan ddylai efallai fod gyda'i deulu, dal i ymarfer ei gyflwyniad.
En: There was confusion where he perhaps should have been with his family, still practicing his presentation.
Cy: Roedd gobaith bach yn gymorth, ond nid oedd Perlau Taf yn rhywle cyffyrddus.
En: A small hope served as a help, but Perlau Taf wasn’t a very comfortable place.
Cy: Yn sydyn, canodd ei ffôn.
En: Suddenly, his phone rang.
Cy: Carys oedd ar y llinell.
En: Carys was on the line.
Cy: “Gareth, edrychwch yn y ceir!” sibrydodd hi’n excited.
En: “Gareth, look in the cars!” she whispered excitedly.
Cy: "Ydach chi'n siŵr?" gofynnodd Gareth yn chwilfrydig.
En: "Are you sure?" Gareth asked curiously.
Cy: Cyn iddo gael siawns i ailadrodd y cwestiwn, roedd Carys wedi hwylio'r neges.
En: Before he had a chance to repeat the question, Carys had ended the call.
Cy: Roedd ei eiriau'n ysgafn fel gwynt y bore.
En: Her words were light as the morning wind.
Cy: Apwyntiodd ei ben i ddiolch i Sioned a phawb eraill yn yr orsaf, cawsant eu sulum gan y cysyniad o synhwyro golau newydd a tort allan y drws i'w gar.
En: He nodded his head to thank Sioned and everyone else at the station; they were comforted by the concept of sensing a new light, and he rushed out the door to his car.
Cy: Agorodd y drysau'n ofalus; y drysau oedd gwellt olaf ei obeithion.
En: He opened the doors carefully; the doors were the last strand of his hopes.
Cy: Yno, yn y blwch ymglaw wasgwyd y basbort,
