It's been nearly a decade since Uber transformed the transportation industry in Quebec, and many traditional taxi drivers say they're still paying the price. A group of former taxi permit owners is now asking the Supreme Court of Canada to hear their case against the Quebec government, arguing that when the province opened the market to ride-hailing services and abolished taxi permits, it effectively wiped out a valuable asset that many drivers had counted on for retirement. Lex Gill, one of the lawyers representing the permit holders spoke to Ken Connors.
