NSW proposes medicinal cannabis driving reforms

Published 2 weeks, 6 days ago
Description
New South Wales is proposing road law reforms that would allow medicinal cannabis users to drive with low levels of THC in their system. The Minns Government's legislation requires prescription holders to register with Transport NSW, complete an education program, and face a 24-hour ban if roadside tested above the legal threshold pending lab results. Users exceeding the legal limit after three positive tests within two years will face a $700 fine and licence suspension.
