A 70-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a car on Melville Road in Brunswick West. The two men in the black rental hatchback initially stopped after the collision but allegedly fled the scene minutes later, prompting a city-wide police manhunt. The victim was crossing the road after leaving the post office when she was hit.
