In his current role, Mr. Paquet-Rouleau oversees the ICRC’s humanitarian diplomacy, notably in Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The ICRC is one of the world's most respected humanitarian organisations, working to protect and assist people affected by armed conflict and violence, while promoting respect for international humanitarian law. As conflicts, displacement, climate-related emergencies and humanitarian challenges continue to shape the global landscape, Mr Paquet-Rouleau joins Thelma Hlongwane to discuss the state of humanitarian action in Southern Africa and beyond.
