This week on Adventures of Des and Cort, we learned that no good deed goes unpunished.

Des was simply trying to be a hero and grab some documents from her mom's house while she was away. Innocent enough, right? Wrong. The man watching the property apparently thought he had caught a criminal mastermind in action and came in ready to throw hands. Des was immediately convinced her life was flashing before her eyes. Nothing says family favor like an unexpected fight-or-flight response. 😅

We also discuss the annual carnival in town and one of our favorite hobbies... people watching. The outfits. The rides. The questionable decisions. The campers packed into spaces that seem physically impossible. Yet, we did see a Mercedes G-Wagon parked outside their setup, leaving us wondering if we've chosen the wrong careers entirely and discuss what our jobs would be if we were Carni’s. 🎡🚐💸

Des also opens up about her full-blown mama bear tendencies when it comes to Sophia's new role as Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. She keeps checking in, making sure no one is being mean to her, offering help, and generally hovering at a professional level. She realizes she may need to back off a little... but let's be honest, moms never fully retire from the job. ❤️

Then Cort introduces us to a video that absolutely sent her. A woman was complaining about having a puffy private area and someone encouraged her to embrace her "Fat Cat Energy." We have not recovered. The confidence. The branding. The absolute commitment to the bit. We are obsessed. 🐱😂

As always, we wander into plenty of side stories, random observations, and tangents that somehow make perfect sense in the moment.
