A stunning, frustrating start to the ultimate round. Broadcasting live from Lenovo Center immediately following the final horn of Game 1, OG After Dark breaks down a 5-4 rollercoaster loss for the Carolina Hurricanes, who drop the opener to the Vegas Golden Knights and cede home-ice advantage.

This game was a certified epic filled with wild swings. The Canes jumped out to a dream 2-0 lead off two Nikolaj Ehlers strikes, watched it vanish in the second, and leaned on captain Jordan Staal to stop the bleeding. After Brett Howden put Vegas up early in the third, Shayne Gostisbehere brought the roof down by burying a loose puck off a face-off to tie it 4-4 with 8:41 left.

Ultimately, the game was decided on the dots. With just 3:24 left in regulation, Tomas Hertl won a critical face-off, found space, and took a feed from Colton Sissons to bang the game-winner past Freddie Andersen.

We open up the lines on the OG Sports Phone to handle the high-anxiety postgame fallout and frantic reactions from Canes fans.
