163rd Avenue Improvement Project Kicks Off in Surprise
Description
The City will kick off the final phase of the 163rd Avenue Improvement Project in northwest Surprise on June 1, 2026. This phase will focus on the section of roadway from Happy Valley Road to Jomax Road and is expected to last nearly 15 months. The project will include: Roadway Improvements Widening the section of 163rd Avenue from Happy Valley Road to Jomax Road to three lanes in each direction by constructing additional travel lanes Building out the Jomax Road intersection to its ultimate configuration, including additional travel lanes and dedicated turn lanes Adding dedicated right and left turn lanes...
