Story Transcript:
En: On the edge of the peaceful jezero Bled, where the reflection of the mountains and the iconic church on the island softly swayed on the water's surface, Jure sat on a bench.
Sl: Zrak je bil spomladansko svež in blag, rahlo sonce je prodiralo skozi krošnje dreves.
En: The air was spring-fresh and gentle, with the soft sun filtering through the tree canopies.
Sl: Jure je globoko vdihnil in zaprl oči, poskušajoč vpiti vsak trenutek tišine.
En: Jure took a deep breath and closed his eyes, trying to soak in every moment of silence.
En: It was a day when he once again pondered about himself and Maja.
En: She had been living in Pariz for almost half a year now.
Sl: Študij ji je šel odlično, a njun pogovori so počasi bledeli kot star razglednica.
En: Her studies were going excellently, but their conversations had gradually faded like an old postcard.
En: Being in Ljubljana was hard since he often felt alone, daunted by every email and listening to her stories from a world that was foreign to him.
En: "It's boring," he said softly to himself, as he remembered her smiles and the moments they shared at the lake.
Sl: Tokrat je prišel sam, a morda si tega ni želel priznati.
En: This time he came alone, although he might not have wanted to admit it.
En: He felt that something had changed between them.
En: He recalled Tina, their mutual friend, who once told him: "Sometimes we must confront the things we don't want to see."
En: The gentle rustling of leaves was like a whisper from the past.
Sl: Spomini na njihova srečna skupna leta so ga obkrožili.
En: Memories of their happy years together surrounded him.
En: Jure knew that the physical distance was not the only barrier.
En: His heart began to contract at the realization that he and Maja had also grown emotionally apart.
Sl: Odločil se je.
En: He made a decision.
En: He pulled his phone from his pocket and called Maja.
En: The sound of ringing was loud in this peace, like a slight hammer strike.
En: When he heard her voice, the tension broke, yet it did not ease him.
Sl: Začel je govoriti počasi, previdno, a odkrito.
En: He began to speak slowly, cautiously, but openly.
Sl: "Maja, mislim, da morava govoriti o nama.
