Episode Details

On this episode of The Drake Toll Show on Westwood One Sports, Drake breaks down a historic changing of the guard in the Western Conference. Despite fighting through a relentless injury bug to secure a 64-18 regular-season record, the Oklahoma City Thunder’s dreams of repeating as NBA champions came to a crashing halt. Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs pushed past the short-handed titleholders in a grueling 111-103 Game 7 victory at the Paycom Center.

Drake dives into the aftermath for the Thunder, examining league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s blunt self-assessment labeling the season a failure, alongside Chet Holmgren’s struggles against the Spurs' elite rim protection. The show transitions into an early look at the newly minted NBA Finals matchup between San Antonio and the well-rested New York Knicks. Plus, the broadcast features fan favorites like "Obituaries," "Idiot of the Day," and a special guest spot with Locked On NBA Channel Manager Nick Angstadt.
