Former rugby player charged over 1994 armoured heist

Garry Sullivan, a 78-year-old former Sydney rugby league player, has been extradited to Melbourne and charged over a 1994 armed robbery at Chadstone Shopping Centre in which three men were wounded by gunfire. Sullivan appeared in court claiming multiple medical conditions including mouth cancer and dietary requirements, and did not apply for bail. He is scheduled to face court again in October.
