Trapped miners self-rescue from flooded Laos cave

Trapped miners self-rescue from flooded Laos cave

Published 3 weeks, 1 day ago
Description
Four villagers trapped in a flooded cave in Laos for 10 days successfully self-rescued by swimming through a flooded section after pumping operations lowered water levels enough for them to escape. The miners crawled 350 metres through the cave to reach the entrance while international rescue divers, including Australian Josh Richards, were preparing to enter. Two people remain missing as rescue teams continue their search, with international divers standing by in case flooding returns.
