Story Transcript:

Cy: Yn haen o liwiau bywiog ac aroglau cyfoethog, y farchnad yn Nice oedd fel llun gan artist medrus.
En: In a layer of vibrant colors and rich aromas, the market in Nice was like a painting by a skilled artist.

Cy: Peiriannau bach yn chwapio eu hwythiennau o hwyl yno, wrth i Gwen a Rhys, dau ffrind o Gymru, gerdded drwy strydoedd cul y farchnad.
En: Little machines hummed their threads of cheer there, as Gwen and Rhys, two friends from Wales, walked through the narrow streets of the market.

Cy: Clyntyn y traeth Môr y Canoldir o'r pellter, pobol yn cymysgu o gaban i gaban, yr awyr yn cyfnewid o lwyd i las wrth i'r haul ddychwelyd.
En: The lapping of the Mediterranean Sea echoed from a distance, people mingling from stall to stall, the sky shifting from grey to blue as the sun returned.

Cy: Rhys oedd y rhybuddiwr doeth, yn oedolyn sydd yn caru rhifau a rhesymau.
En: Rhys was the wise cautioner, an adult who loved numbers and reason.

Cy: Ni allai peidio â themu am y gyllideb, tra roedd Gwen yn dilyn ei chalon ac yr aur o anturiaethau newydd.
En: He couldn't help but muse about the budget, while Gwen followed her heart and the allure of new adventures.

Cy: "A ydych chi wir yn credu y gallwn gymryd yr artist hwn am rywbeth mor ddrud?" gofynnodd Rhys wrth Gwen pan arosasant ger stondin ddiddorol yn llawn delweddau o hynafiaethau Ffrengig.
En: "Do you really think we can take this artist for something so expensive?" asked Rhys when they stopped by an intriguing stand full of images of French antiquities.

Cy: Gwen oedd yr efrydydd tyner, y daith yn bwysicach iddi na'r gyrchfan ei hun.
En: Gwen was the gentle scholar, for whom the journey was more important than the destination itself.

Cy: "Mae'r darn hwn yn llawn hanes," atebodd Gwen, ei llygaid yn glefri o gyffro.
En: "This piece is full of history," Gwen replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Cy: Roedd y gwaith yn berfffaith, sêt ddynfanol ble trawyd gan oleuni'r bore.
En: The work was perfect, a captivating seat touched by the morning light.

Cy: "Ond... gwariad yw'r hynny," apeliodd Rhys eto, wrth edrych i'w oriawr.
En: "But... that's an expense," pleaded Rhys again, glancing at his watch.

Cy: "Mae'n rhaid i ni adael cyn bo hir."
En: "We must leave soon."

Cy: Ac yna, tynwyd eu sylw gan ddod o hyd i berfformiad stryd, sefydlwyd gan weithiwyr lleol â'u sêr dawnus, yn llawn o hwyl ac awen.
En: And then, their attention was drawn to a street performance, set up by local workers with their talented stars, full of fun and inspiration.

Cy: Bob amser y sigarets wedi'u bwrw i’r llawr, ac fe'u cawsant eu hudo.
En: Always the cigarettes cast to the ground, and they were captivated.

Cy: "Oh, edrychwch arnynt!" ganfu Gwen, gan anghelfydd am eiliad ei hamcanion.
En: "Oh, look at them!" exclaimed Gwen, forgetting her plans for a moment.

Cy: Y synnwyr o hunaniaeth dynol mor lwyr, mor llon.
En: The sense of human identity so complete, so joyful.

Cy: Er bod y cyrni'au yn taro'r gân olaf, roedd stondin yr artist yn barod i gau.
En: Even as the musicians hit the final notes, the artist's stand was ready to close.

Cy: Roedd hi'n weddill ychydig amser i wneud penderfyniad.
En: There was still a little time to make a decision.

Cy: Pwysigder y gwelliannau hynny, a pherffeithrwydd.
En: The importance of those improvements, and perfection.
