Episode Details

Clemson Tigers land coveted wide receiver Julian Cromartie, boosting their 2027 recruiting class and reshaping Chad Morris’ offensive blueprint. Cromartie—6'4" and 195 pounds—brings not only a famous bloodline but game-changing physicality, vertical threat, and elite red-zone potential. Morgan Thomas explores why Cromartie is more than a big name, spotlighting his compatibility with Clemson’s evolving identity and the urgency to find strong perimeter targets as future NFL-caliber receivers graduate.

The episode breaks down what this commitment means for Tyler Grisham’s receiver room, assesses Trey Wimbley and Jay Simmons’ roles, and examines the strategic offensive shift toward larger, multifaceted playmakers. With the 2027 offense taking shape, attention turns to the Tigers’ defense—can Dabo Swinney and staff secure a marquee edge rusher before the class is complete? Locked On Clemson unpacks Clemson’s recruiting momentum, challenges looming for the defense, and the path back to national title contention.
