how to speak to each other.
We stop listening.
We stop trying to understand.
And after a while,
peace itself can begin
to feel impossible.
In moments like these,
help us not give up
on one another.
Give us the courage
to keep seeking understanding.
The patience
to keep listening.
And the wisdom
to remember
that we do not have to be the same
to live together with love and in peace.
