A new Tulane-led study warns rising seas and coastal erosion could eventually swallow New Orleans and push the Gulf all the way to the Northshore , but the state’s Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority is firing back, calling the projections “ridiculous” and unnecessarily alarmist.
