Aoife Johnston’s Family Solicitor Criticises State’s Handling Of Planned Memorial In Her Honour
Published 2 weeks ago
Description
Solicitor for the family, Damien Tansey, joined Daragh Dolan to discuss concerns raised by the family of Aoife Johnston over the State’s handling of a planned memorial in her honour.
The family expressed anger and disappointment over how the process was managed, with questions raised about communication between the Department of Health, the hospital, and the family.
Response from The Department Of Health:
The thoughts of the Minister and her team at the Department continue to be with the Johnston family. As we continue to communicate with the family representative, we would very much welcome the opportunity to meet with Aoife's family at a time of their choosing. As independent disciplinary investigations are still ongoing, it is important that due process is observed in these matters and the Department can not make any further comment at this time.
