Fleeing the Will of God
Description
Jonah didn’t “drift” into disobedience—he ran. In this urgent message, Dr. Michael Youssef exposes the danger of turning from God’s unmistakable will, even when we know Scripture is inerrant and God’s command is clear. Jonah chose comfort over calling—and many believers still do the same.
But the Lord did not abandon His servant. God sent a storm—not to destroy Jonah, but to wake him. It was a storm of mercy meant to confront a sleeping prophet and bring him back to surrender.
This episode is a clear warning and a gracious call: disobedience may feel easy for a season, but it always carries a cost. Yet God still invites His people to return through:
- Repentance instead of excuses,
- Renewed obedience instead of delay,
- Bold witness instead of silence,
- Intercession instead of apathy,
- Submission to Christ, the Lord who directs our steps.
