Seven people remain trapped in a flooded cave system in Laos for over a week after heavy rainfall blocked exit points. Rescue crews have navigated 100 metres into tunnels only 60 centimetres high, working to pump water and clear landslide debris to reach the villagers believed to be 30 metres further inside. The operation mirrors the 2018 Thai cave rescue, with some of those original rescuers now assisting in this increasingly desperate mission as conditions deteriorate.
