Does God Accept Christmas?
Season 1
Episode 20
Published 4 months, 3 weeks ago
Description
Christmas is not explicitly mentioned in the Bible, and its December 25th date stems from efforts by the early Church to absorb and replace existing winter solstice celebrations. While early Christians calculated dates based on scripture, political and cultural shifts allowed pre-existing pagan customs to shape the modern holiday.
