On a quiet Friday morning in June 2008, an armed intruder entered the Sun Drop Bottling Company in Concord, North Carolina, and brutally murdered office manager Donna Barnhardt and job applicant Darrell Noles in a calculated robbery. For nearly eighteen years, the double homicide remained one of the city’s most haunting cold cases, devastating families and challenging investigators.
