Campervans Reportedly Putting A Dent In Lahinch Parking Revenue

Published 2 weeks, 2 days ago
Description
Campervans are reportedly putting a dent in the amount of revenue being collected through parking charges in Lahinch. Cathaoirleach of the West Clare Municipal District, Lahinch Fine Gael Councillor Bill Slattery, is calling for designated parking for campers in the north Clare town. Clare County Council took in €281,514 in parking charges and fines in Lahinch last year. Councillor Slattery has been telling Clare FM's Seán Lyons he believes this figure would be higher if campervan drivers weren't vying with regular motorists for spaces.
