The House of Human Skin - The Quiet Horror of Ed Gein

Published 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Description
There’s something deeply unsettling about empty farmhouses at night. Not haunted house unsettling. Lonely unsettling. The kind where the wind sounds too loud. Where old wooden floors creak even when nobody’s walking. Where the curtains never move because no one’s opened the windows in years. Now imagine police officers stepping into one of those houses in rural Wisconsin during the freezing winter of 1957. At first, it just smelled rotten. Then their flashlights started landing on things that didn’t make sense. A chair. A bowl. A lampshade. And slowly... horrifyingly… they realized these things were not made from leather. They were made from people.
