In this episode, I’m joined by Darren as we discuss the penultimate episode of what I believe is the final season of Euphoria, including Nate’s death, the tense break-in sequence, Rue’s increasingly precarious situation, Alamo’s demands tied to the IDs found in the safe, and questions about where characters like Bishop and Jules fit as the 93-minute finale approaches. We also talk about Emmy eligibility timing, why some shows double up episodes, and preview Widow’s Bay’s upcoming double drop, including a Ti West-directed black-and-white flashback episode, while praising the show’s production and sound design and noting my sister will guest on the recap. We cover news about Spider-Noir releasing in both black-and-white and color via MGM+/Prime, and Mob Land’s future without Tom Hardy. Finally, Darren and I do a spoiler-filled discussion of the low-budget horror film Obsession—its themes, structure, performances, comedy/horror balance, and ending—plus I briefly pan Passenger as a misleading, boring horror film.
