Stillness for Survival
Description
In this lecture, I share why silence has become essential for survival in modern life. As a cardiologist, I see every day how constant mental noise, stress, and overthinking affect blood pressure, metabolism, sleep, and the ability to change unhealthy habits. Most people are not lacking information. They are lacking control over their own attention.
I explain how the nonstop chatter in the mind keeps you stuck in the past or anxious about the future, and how that mental stress translates into real biological changes in your body. When you learn to enter silence and redirect your awareness, you begin to reset your nervous system, improve vagal tone, lower stress hormones, and regain the willpower needed to make lasting lifestyle changes. Silence allows you to become the boss of your mind again so you can improve your health, your relationships, and your life.
Take a few minutes, experience it for yourself, and see what changes.
