We discuss recent rulings by Judge O'Conner, who has taken rights to himself that he does NOT have as a Circuit Court Judge in Texas. These pertain to rulings about access to medical and personal records of children in Rhode Island. This is seen as despotic, and unlawful, and may cause a Constitutional crisis with many implications for civil and privacy rights.
Part 2:
We talk with Jonathan Reiss co-Director of the Media and Democracy Project. The Media and Democracy Project advocates for news organization to set policies constraining, or prohibiting citation of the betting odds in these markets and making financial deals with them.
We discuss Minnesota's decision to ban prediction markets in Minnesota, which considers these as a form of gambling. US DOJ is opposing this action.
