In this episode Steve is joined by Jason Duby as they discuss Steve’s annual week-long coon hunt with friends at the White River National Wildlife Refuge in the big woods of eastern Arkansas. This year marks the twelfth annual trip for Steve and his hunting buddy Nubbin Moore and hunting has been particularly good this year. Several interviews have been stockpiled on the trip for future episodes but in this one Steve becomes the roving reporter with an on-scene account of the hunt at mid-week. The conversation includes all the things houndsmen and women like to discuss; hounds, hounds and more hounds and includes the good, the bad and the expected. Listeners that have never experienced a trip to the Arkansas river bottoms will enjoy this virtual trip with promises of more to come in future episodes.
