If you can take a step back from wallowing in the day-to-day heinous authoritarian crap going on in the world, there is actually plenty to be optimistic about--both about how far we've come, and about what it will take to get where we (as a species) SHOULD be.
We are proud to announce that on Saturday, July 18th (probably in Sedona or Prescott, Arizona) we will, for the first time, being putting on our OWN event, called "Approaching Humanity" (which will double as a release party for my new book, of the same name), to do more than just condemning all the evil garbage going on the world.
