-ESPN’s Heather Dinich wrote yesterday that Dannen told her and media at the Spring Meetings in California that Nebraska has harmed

itself in the past by being too quick to react when things didn’t happen soon enough instead of giving enough time to the coach to

build the program

-Dannen said Rhule has done a good job of getting Nebraska from point A to point B and now it’s time to jump to point C—whatever

that means to you---and he also said a bigger playoff to 24 teams wouldn’t devalue the significance of the opportunity to play for a

national championship again…
