Today, I compare Sam’s first Seahawks season to where Russ stood at the same point in his career, then project what Darnold’s prime could look like if he keeps producing at this level. It sounds wild on the surface, but when you start stacking the numbers, the timeline, and the opportunity in front of him, the path is more interesting than most fans probably realize.

This is not about forcing a hot take. It’s about looking at what Sam has already done, what Russ became in Seattle, and what it would take for Darnold to someday have a real argument as the best quarterback in franchise history.
