Description
The match is still burning in Luna's hand when the scream cuts through the theater — a raw, living sound from the balcony. Clara vanishes, and Luna is left alone with the script she was moments from burning. But the theater has other plans. The original script is not where she left it. The dressing room door she came from now leads to a hallway she has never seen, lined with doors that were not there before. Each door bears a name: an actress who played the role, each one consumed. At the end of the hall, a door with no name — and Luna knows that is the room where the play finishes her. But as she walks, she begins to forget. The lines slip from her memory. The faces of the vanished actors blur. The theater is erasing everything except the role. And the role is all that remains.
