Description
January 1998 in the small town of Greenhollow, Vermont. The coldest night in thirty years. Luna's uncle had a side job at the old icehouse on the edge of town, a relic from before refrigeration. A week after he went missing, she borrowed a truck and drove out to look for him. The steel door was unlocked. The air inside was not cold. She found his boots placed neatly by the wall, and a patch of floor that had been swept clean. She found a clipboard listing deliveries that stopped twenty years ago. And in the back room, where the ice blocks used to be stacked, she found the water still and dark and wrong. She felt the floor hum. She saw her own breath fog the air. And then she heard the drip. One drop. One name. Her name. This episode is about a place that should have been empty. It was not.
