Story Transcript:

Cy: 'Roedd yr awyr yn glir uwchben Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri.
En: The sky was clear above Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri.

Cy: Roedd y gwanwyn wedi cyrraedd yn y Parc, a'r glaw a adawodd y tir yn las a ffres.
En: Spring had arrived in the Park, and the rain had left the land lush and fresh.

Cy: Roedd Emrys a Carys yn sefyll o flaen siop gyflenwadau awyr agored llawn dop o bobl yn paratoi ar gyfer eu hanturiaethau eu hunain.
En: Emrys and Carys were standing in front of an outdoor supply store bustling with people preparing for their own adventures.

Cy: “Mae angen ychydig o gyffro arna i, Carys,” meddai Emrys gyda sglein yn ei lygad.
En: “I need a bit of excitement, Carys,” said Emrys with a sparkle in his eye.

Cy: “Dw i wedi cael llond bol ar waith prifysgol!”
En: “I’ve had enough of university work!”

Cy: Cysylltiodd Carys ei dwylo o flaen ei, yn fwy pragmatig na chynnau.
En: Carys clasped her hands in front of her, more pragmatic than enthusiastic.

Cy: “Mae’n rhaid i ni fod yn drefnus,” atebodd.
En: “We have to be organized,” she replied.

Cy: “Mae Eryri yn gallu bod yn beryglus os nad ydyn ni’n paratoi’n iawn.”
En: “Eryri can be dangerous if we don’t prepare properly.”

Cy: Fe wnaethant benderfynu ar y rhestr o bethau i’w prynu.
En: They decided on the list of things to buy.

Cy: Roedd y siop yn arogleuo o ledr a brethyn, yn llawn offer glampio a dillad awyr agored.
En: The store smelled of leather and fabric, full of camping gear and outdoor clothing.

Cy: Roedd Emrys eisiau prynu'r llestri rhataf a'r bagiau cysgu prin digon trwchus.
En: Emrys wanted to buy the cheapest utensils and sleeping bags that were barely thick enough.

Cy: “Ni fydd angen llawer arnon ni,” siaradodd yn benderfynol.
En: “We won’t need much,” he declared decisively.

Cy: Gwnaeth Carys lled-llygaid ato, yn cofio ei anturiaethau gwellt ei phlentyndod.
En: Carys squinted at him, recalling the makeshift adventures of her childhood.

Cy: “Mae angen pabell sy’n gwrthsefyll y tywydd arnom ni, Emrys.
En: “We need a weather-resistant tent, Emrys.

Cy: Bydd y gwanwyn yn Gymru yn gallu bod yn annisgwyl.”
En: Spring in Wales can be unpredictable.”

Cy: Ond roedd Emrys yn gwenu o hyd, ei feddylfryd yn canolbwyntio ar y llwybrau a’r eitemau sydd wedi’u llawn i’r ymylon.
En: But Emrys kept smiling, his mindset focused on the trails and the items packed to the brim.

Cy: “Byddwn ni’n iawn heb fan pob un,” creodd.
En: “We’ll be fine without every single item,” he assured.

Cy: Dechreuodd dadl rhwng nhw yng nghanol y siop wahanol a oedd mor fywiog â marchnadoedd pentrefol.
En: A debate started between them in the middle of the busy store, lively as village markets.

Cy: “Efallai’n wir, ond wrth gwrs, rho’n i unwaith mewn tywydd difrifol heb ddigon o offer,” atgoffodd Carys o’i phrofiad pan oedd gwyntoedd Eryri wedi chwythu hi allan o’i phabell.
En: “Perhaps true, but of course, I was once in serious weather without enough gear,” reminded Carys of her experience when Eryri's winds blew her out of her tent.

Cy: Ac ar hynny, gwelodd Emrys canfyddiad dwfn.
En: At that moment, Emrys had a deep realization.

Cy: Sylwodd ei ffrind bod yr offer dylai fod gwarchod rhag colli gafael yn y byd modern.
En: He noticed his friend making a case that the equipment should safeguard against losing grip on the modern world.<
